I think this book may be my favorite in the series. We got more history which I enjoyed but also there were so many things happening with our favorite characters. Kept me on pins and needles to the very end.I am definitely not a history buff by any stretch of the imagination but I have truly enjoyed all of these books both for the history in them and the characters that I have come to love. I enjoy Ginny Dye' s writing style knowing each book is so good because I can hear the character's own unique speaking style as I'm reading.Review: After reading 11 books in a series, you REALLY get to know the characters. This particular book had me in tears multiple times! I won't spoil it by being specific, but this time around, most were tears of joy and happiness. One particular part, even though I knew it was coming at some point, had the tears streaming down my face! The series could end right here, and I'd be satisfied, but I'm so glad I still have MANY more parts of this story to enjoy! Thank you, Ginny, for writing these books.
